Are quaker parrots fun pets?

They are legal in my state and many states south of where I live (plan on moving to Florida after college or somewhere near there) and I really want one. So are they good pets? What experiences have you had with them? And how much do they screech/scream/chirp really loud? I can put up with chirps and the occasional squawk, but screaming... I'd prefer to have a bird that DOESN'T. I know not all birds are the same, though. Thanks!
