Halo Reach credit banned?

Ok so ive been banned for 2 weeks for earning credits and **** and this has happened to one of my friends before and i know that right after you play a game on live it will demote you and all your amor and such down to noting, credits lost and ****. But if i dont play it at all untill the banned is up in two weeks will it still do that? Thats what im asking bc i dont want my rank to go down and i know i could easily get more credits in 2 weeks of just playing than cheating once so its kind of fair. But if anybody knows please tell me if it still will down rank you after the 2 weeks is up bc im not going to play at all then till its up. Thank you and i dont need **** for cheating i got mine so dont waste your time.
