How do you make your bf come back to you?

My bf broke up with me 2 days ago, because he wants to be closer to god. But how do I compete against him? I dont want him to be closer to god. He wants to be cristian and be a better person, so he left me, to be closer to him. He says he dosent love me like I do, and that's what makes him be a bad person, and he wants to be good, so that he is close to god. How do I make him change?
