Is corporate really that bad to work in?

i want to work in either marketing or hr if i do decide to work in the business.....i know of someone who worked in a big co. SONY RECORDS I believe it was..and she said she ended up not liking it because the ppl r too snobbish....and i have an experience working ina radio station and i didn't really like it much....i am learning more towards HR i would love to recruit ppl and evaulate workign conditions of workers and make sure things are running smoothly and workers r doing what there supposed to be doing....i would also like to set up programs and resolve employee affairs....?? what kind of place can iw ork in and make good money besides corporate?
