Should i listen to my boyfriend?

I am Black my boyfriend is white i'm about halle berry's complection maybe a tiny bit lighter and have reddish hair.People are always asking me am i mixed with something i have been asked do i have asian,hispanic,and native american in me on seperate occasion of course.My mom has been asked if she was white,native american,and mxican on seperate occasions.When people ask what do i have in my family background we have german so that's what i tell them.My boyfriend says i shouldn't tell people that cause it's like im denying i'm all black which i'm not i'm being honest.He on the other hand lies and tells people he is sicilian cause he thinks sicilians are cool he even lies and says he was born in sicily.Then when he gets mad he wants to tell me i'm a fake black girl should i stop telling people my family background when im asked since it was my grandfather's side of the family not by marriage blood relative.
